Puto Bumbong

The purple Christmas delicacy made from fine milled rice colored with purple food color, steamed inside a bamboo shoot for twenty to thirty seconds, laid in banana leaves, swiped with hefty amount of margarine, showered with white sugar and top with shredded coconut!

So yummy! So Christmas-sy! I just simply love delicacies like this, and the rice cake?! it is my favorite! I'm thinking of ordering one for tonight, we'll see if that special rice cake is still available since it runs out immediately everyday in the store near us. I just hope so... craving!

marriage and life in it

Part of our school topic subjects are marriages and the life in inside of it. Actually, there are times that I truly missed some parts of the studies because I was never used to the other type of traditions when it comes to that, you see, rules and the must follow life of different religion differs and their point of views are most of the time directed to different directions, when in fact it is marriage and wedding is the bottom line of it all. For example, jewish marriage and Catholic marriage, both are founded with one common thing called Love. But we all know that there are so many things that this two marriages are not alike. It basically depends on the religion's belief and the way that they were raised believing on different things. But of course, there are also support groups that are created to help those who are in the the said marriage, like the Jewish ones who are helping those who are having marital problems ans misunderstanding, just like the catholic people, there are these groups created to serve and guide those who are needing much help when it comes to their union.

Ninja Wraps

Let me share to you my latest food find at Tokyo Tokyo... their Ninja Wraps, available in different variation, tried their Japanese sausage -sliced and filled the flour wrap in hefty amount, which surprises me because it is cheaply priced at $1 each (P49), it also has shredded cabbage, cheese and special yellow sauce (which I think is basically mustard with some other flavors added).

The verdict? it was really good! I'll definitely try the other variants the next time we visit the food store.

Holiday Gift Idea

Looks pretty yummy right? well then, look again at the picture! yep, it's not edible though it really looks tempting to munch! It's actually towels wrapped and made to look like cupcakes! being made by babycakestore. Actually I find this unique to be given as gifts to your friends if you are thinking of budgeting your moolah for Christmas presents, this will actually do good.

Actually thinking of ordering from them, though I'm eying for the mini nappy cakes for my inaanaks! :D

You are dominant, vain, and a bit of a show off. To know you is to worship you.

So how do you like your cuppies?!

Where are you

Just when I truly need a friend to talk to. And you can't be found?! I need my mojo back! please give me back my mojo! I have so many things to attend to and my body can't seem to find my way out of the pitch black solace I am in.

Sinigang na Bangus (milkfish)

Another household favorite, although I am not fish fanatic, I still love to cook fish dishes. A loved dish by the kids of the family, because of the sour-y taste of the sabaw.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small bangus (milkfish) sliced
  • 2 med tomatoes
  • 1 med onion
  • 1 bundle kangkong (water spinach)
  • 1 radish
  • sampaloc (tamarind) mix
  • salt
  • water
Procedure:
  • boil 2-3 cups of water with sliced onions and tomatoes
  • when already boiling, add in the fish, salt and tamarind powder
  • let it simmer for 2 more minutes
  • add in the vegetables and boil for another 1 minute

Fave!

My favorite coffee shop! :D It has been my expensive companion since I started College, slashing a hefty amount on my pocket almost everyday. But what can I do, I just can't help it. I love their concoctions, that's why! My mom is the one who nags me about this addiction, but gives up since she can't really stop me from buying. I can actually go on days without rice and regular meals but without coffee? you got to be kidding me!

Dora themed

My niece is about to celebrate her second birthday this coming January making my sister go gaga over the preparation. Well not that we are having a big party like her first but instead we are keeping it low this time, thinking of doing it in our place instead of getting a venue or something. The fast food reservation is also removed from the list because we might get flooded with guests and all. But one thing is for sure, we will have a Dora themed party this time. Been looking out for cake designs so my sister can decide on what to order.

Pug for me... please?

http://www.rwrinnovations.com/images/pug_mugs.jpg
So tell me, what is your dream dog? Well as for me, not that I don't like our previous pet dogs, its just that, I realize that there will come a time that you would want to have a dog that captures your heart and makes you want to have one for your pet. Like the cute mini pug! It was actually my sister who made me realize that pugs are really adorable, I used to hate their crumpled face and frowny looking mouth and all but then when I took a lot closer look I suddenly felt that I love it! and I really wanted to have one! Unfortunately, this breed costs a lot! Freaking huge amount must be spent in order for me to have one of my own. And if you wanted a very good line of breed, accept the fact that you will be shedding additional money for it, papers and all.
Anyways, since I still don't have enough savings to buy one, I will keep the want to my wish lists first, will also pray that somebody who is good enough can give it to me! :)
Speaking of dogs and breeds, I happen to read an article regarding the need of dogs for Flea and Tick Control medicines just in case your dog were infested by such pests. And it is also advisable to get one of those even if your dogs doesn't have one, you know, just in case. And make sure to get the most effective and well mentioned brand like something from www.vetmedicines.com.
