Chika Time at Cafe Breton

After our Bebot's family lunch out and an hour of play at the Cosmic Kidz of the brats, Aggie, Mai and I (the ones who were left, because most of the families went home or to their other destinations) decided to hit Cafe Breton to have their super delicious crepes!
Here's what we had.. while we talk non-stop about life, work and everything in between even like the idea that we all need to buy memory for our computer storage!

gusto ko kumain nito ulit. now na!

(Mango, vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce)
**Mai's hubby- Paul also ordered this pala :D

MOA53

Café Au Lait Coffee - for moi

oh, we also had Galette Don Quixote (Chorizo, onion, tomato, cream, mozzarella)- which we (the three ladies) shared! we needed something to munch on while we still chat kasi :D
and the kids? they had everything that we had in between their runs and shouts the whole time we were at the restaurant :D

Good food, great friends, great talks equals FUN!

Hong Kong Day 1 - Food Galore.

As promised, here's our food experience during our Hong Kong trip last month. Sorry for the super delayed post, finally I was able to find time to seat down and yes, blog some personal posts (again!). Anyways, here's another post about our Breakfast with the Character stint at Disneyland Hotel. And since this is my official foodie blog, let me share with you our Day 1 food experience.
As advised by friends who also came from Hong Kong, we brought along some light snacks like Ensaymada from Goldilocks since the airline doesn't provide anything - though they offer food at quite expensive price, so there, that's what we had during the flight since it's not a crime to bring your own baon naman and I was not not surprise to see most of the people on the plane have their own baon too!
Anyways, since we are an hour early for the boarding and was a bit sleepy the husband offered to buy me a mocha ice blended (though I asked for an over ice coffee! lol) nevertheless, it was a good boost! :D

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs017.snc4/34226_462316943046_834408046_6173752_5783376_n.jpg

Now let's jump to what's we had and we had our lunch at Hong Kong... initially, I told the husband that we should try Cafe de Coral, unfortunately I got so confused with the restaurant's location and with a cranky/famished partner, I let him choose whatever looks inviting in the area, and there.. we found ourselves at a Japanese restaurant called Kanamizu Sushi! I wonder what made him chose that place, probably because of the nice door chime at the entrance!

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs153.snc4/36974_462321853046_834408046_6173815_4656446_n.jpg

And in all fairness, their prices are very affordable! probably the reason why the place is quite crowded with the locals.

And here's what we had...
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs153.snc4/36974_462321848046_834408046_6173814_6476355_n.jpg
Every meal comes with a miso soup and an appetizer which until now is unknown to us! but it was really good :D the husband said that it was something seafood with a hint of ginger sauce.

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs073.ash2/36974_462321858046_834408046_6173816_8213744_n.jpg
This is what the husband had, Crab Roi and Assorted Sashimi Rice set - which we got surprised to see that they offer very huge serving per meal! it can be shared by two persons already. Unfortunately, I don't eat raw fish, so the husband made pilit to finish his bowl of sashimi :D

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs073.ash2/36974_462321873046_834408046_6173819_6573838_n.jpg
And here's what my daughter and I shared, Deep Fried Pork Chop served with Soft Egg Rice Set.. that I truly like! delicious and the pork - cook just right! It was also my first time to try the soft egg-something and it was good too! dear daughter also love the dish, himala!
And before I forget, every meal comes with a free hot tea which also serves as the official drink at the restaurant, it was a subtle kind of tea so we also liked it, perfect after a hefty meal!

Now let's jump again to another beverage that we tried at Ocean Park.. Fruity Snow Cone ( flavored crushed ice with real fruit bits). Very refreshing specially when it's really hot and humid, we didn't even found ourselves hungry just thirsty, every so often! Thank goodness, I brought along 2 big water bottles, so we were replenished - for free! :D

DSC_0147
Dear daughter loves the snow cone to bits, priced at hk$28 and can be bought at kiosks around the park.

Fast forward after our Ocean Park tour, We had late snack at Mc Donald's Admiralty while we waited for my online friend Caryl- she lives in HK together with her family, sosyal! :D

Funny how we chose to dine at Mc Donald's, maybe because we were too tired from the whole day of walk at the park, and one thing that came close to us the moment we alight the bus is this fast food chain.. so there ;)

So my friend Caryl and I had our first time personal encounter, she toured us from one place to another and brought us to this food court where different cuisines are being offered..
The husband chose to buy his food at a Korean restaurant kiosk

DSC08443

and had this, Kimchi-noodle-soup-something (forgot the name, sorry) that he and dear daughter shared, yes she likes spicy foods and noodles too!

Meanwhile, Caryl bought this oyster (or was is octopus?! gosh, limot queen is my name!) balls. Very delicious, new to our taste buds!

DSC08446

Also, Caryl bought different Mango snacks for us.. again, I forgot the names, pudding-like delicacies that are truly yummo!

DSC08452

DSC08453

And lastly, Caryl's very adorable and sweet son asked her mom to buy a Mango Sago drink for Olin.. sweet no? :D The only thing is, dearest daughter didn't liked the drink much - so the mom (it's me, who else) had a great mango fest!

So there, these are what we had at day 1. Will write another food trips during our HK stay on my next blog posts...

fuzz with military auctions

with so much fuzz on the internet today, buying and selling is one of the most popular thing to do online. That is why, more and more businesses are coming up with different promotions and advertising styles in order to get the market they are targeting. Just like this famous military auctions that says to be one of the coolest online shop today. Just the name itself makes it really interesting to look at right? so there, maybe will try to check out this site and see if there's anything that I'll fancy.

diet drink

My sister told me about this weight loss drink that she is thinking of slugging down and the thought of it makes her realized that I might be interested with it too. And since, she's basically to afraid to try it our alone, she is way beyond the idea of convincing me to try it out too! Alright, no need to force me too hard since the thought of taking anything that has something to do with weight loss is a bright idea to me! :D

oh crap

And now, after bragging much about my luck of not having my electricity on the roll compare to the other areas of our municipality having been out of electric since early this evening, I just talk too soon! As of this moment I am typing this in the dark, basically just making use the most out of my laptop’s battery. At least, I’d be be able to do some posts and read about these fat burner reviews before the battery retires together with the electricity. I just hope the storm leaves us as soon as possible and no one gets hurt. Be safe everyone!

signal number 2!

So it's official, the weather bureau just announced the storm signals for different provinces of the country, and as expected ours is already on level 2. boo to that! even got a text message from my sisters that some of the municipalities in our area is already electric power less since midnight. So you can say that I'm still a bit lucky to have my electric and internet connection running eh? Agree. That is why, here I am, blogging till my heart's desire and even reading about apidexin reviews while checking from time to time what’s happening outside.

shopping rehab

A friend told me that she is quite surprised upon learning of my shopping rehab declaration :D to be honest, I'm getting some trouble with myself for not engaging into window shopping and shopping itself especially now when most of the shops online are having their mid year sales and discounts, freebies and what-nots are just about everywhere! Those urban clothing and other fantastic clothes for women and kids are just way too adorable to pass. But then again, I have to stick with my promise so I can officially be debt free before the holiday season.. by that time, then probably I'd be able to shop galore again! :D

pending food posts

I'm supposed to finish all my pending blog posts about our HK food trips during our vacation but unfortunately, due to one reason or another I wasn't able to until now. Something came up thus explains my need for this prototype 37c to help remove my wrinkles from this uncalled for circumstances we are dealing right now. I'd probably move my due date for my food posts and hopefully I'd be back on track sometime next week. Until then!

HK food trips

The food trips we had at Hong Kong is one of the best, if you'll ask me and the husband. Because there, we were able to savor authentic Chinese cuisines (though not all) during our three day stay. Thank heavens most restaurants and even our hotel provides complimentary hot tea that I slugged every after meal to help my intestine digest all those food I ate since I wasn't able to bring enough fat burning pills with me. Actually, it was my honest decision not to bring any pill that will counter my food cravings since the husband and I were truly decided to eat much and enjoy the foods as long as we can, while we were there. Food tripping, yeah!
