First Communion Party

My mom and I were invited to a First Communion party of her God daughter this coming weekend, a First Communion Invitations were handed to us this morning. Since my mom loves to cook and the girl is really special to us, plus, they were able to try her specialties before, they actually requested a dish from my mom! Thank goodness we were able to receive her Communion Invitation a week before the event thus giving us enough time to prepare.

Speaking of invitations, I was quite surprised to actually received communion cards or invitations communions since we were not used to a party after the said rite. But then again, time changes and so thus occasions, now, people are into considering this once in a lifetime event really special by throwing a party or a small get together for friends and families!

Now I'm thinking, what happened after my first communion? I can't remember a party or anything! Funny, but that is how it used specially when your parents doesn't have enough budget for a celebration!
