Beef Steak Tagalog

Another favorite of the husband, being a red meat lover he prefers his bistek with less sauce but still flavor filled and this is for FOOD SHOT SUNDAYS

Here's the recipe...

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 kilo beef ternderloin cut into strips
  • 3-5 pcs. calamansi
  • 1/8 cup soy sauce
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 1 medium onion, cut into rings
  • cooking oil
Procedure:
  • Marinate the beef strips in soy sauce and kalamansi dash it with salt and pepper for an hour (or you can do it overnight if you still have time)
  • After one hour, remove from the marinating sauce the beef and fry it in hot oil
  • Remove from the pan the cooked beef and saute the onion rings for a few seconds ( others prefer it half cooked while others like it tender, so it's up to you)
  • Bring back the cooked beef in the pan and pour in the marinating sauce that was used earlier and let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce almost dries up
  • Garnish the steak with the sauted onions and serve hot with rice.
