computer hunt

Finally, my sister’s hunt for discount computers has come to end. After being able the scour the mall for the most affordable yet efficient computer laptop there is, she has finally made a choice on getting a mid range priced laptop that she can use for online browsing and sideline work. The sales personnel told us that the one she got is good and efficient when it comes to performance and the reason for putting the units on sale is that new models will soon be released and part of their service is to discount those past models for the buyers.

grilled prawn at Boracay Regency

While transferring photos to my removable HD, I happen to browse our summer vacation at Boracay, and true enough, it made me wish again to come back, soon! Hopefully before the year ends or if not, early next year and stay again at Boracay Regency. Where we had a great time, amenities, accommodation , food etc… everything was almost set perfect for us! And speaking of food, here is one of the reason to stay or go back… their sumptuous grilled prawn which was probably cooked in a electric grill because we happen not to see any grilling station or smoke nearby. Served with pork in sauce (forgot the name) and hefty amount of mashed potato to match! :) heaven.

pizza.pasta.chicken

These are what the husband shared over dinner two days ago. I know, we’ve been eating out and eating non stop the past days, thus explains our bulging tummies and flabby everything! But what can we do? when we always have errands to run at the nearby mall during meal times, and this particular dinner happened because we spend long hours scouring the mall for casters that dad is asking us to buy, aside from frequent bound to meet up clients and print/deliver proofs. Oh well, gotta do something with this starting habit as it will make us literally fat and broke at the same time!

dreaming summer

My daughter has been dreaming of going back to Boracay for days now. Probably it’s because of the last movie she watched that features a whole lot of pool scenes, thus made her wish of going on a vacation again. The thing is, the weather is not too cooperating nowadays, it usually rains in the afternoon and freaking hot in the morning with sudden rainfalls – something that is not really good to bear, it can actually cause sickness. So there, hopefully we’d be able to grab a deal after the rainy months so we can again dip and enjoy the hotel’s pool complete with pool heat pumpsDSC_0091 DSC_0137 DSC_0248 DSC_0263 DSC_0349

Amiel’s birthday cake 2011

My husband turned 33 yesterday and to celebrate his special day, I ordered new york strawberry cheesecake  and surprised him when we arrived after our shoot! and as expected, he was so touched especially when it was our daughter who did all the singing and the “surprise” act when he went out of our room :) Anyways,  though I failed to gave him one of those fancy gaming desktops this year, but rather stick to a more cheaper gift of shirts and watch… I can still feel that he truly appreciates everything :)

gift idea.

Husband’s birthday is just around the corner. Twenty days to go, to be exact. And yes, aside from a massage and spa voucher that I was able to snag some weeks ago, I still doesn’t have a gift for him. Maybe I can check out promotional stuff over at the hunting sites he often visits or get him this xbox hard drive that he can use for his toy. Oh well, will make sure to get him a special gift next week, once I fully recovered my body from this cough and colds.

Gong Cha – Tea Fit For Royalty

I love tea! As much as I love coffee. That is why when my friend Peachy told me about this famous tea house that has been often flooded by tea lovers, I made sure to try it out the moment I set foot at MOA last week. And true enough, it’s not just hype nor overrated for their CHOCOLATE MILK TEA with pearls is delish! Will sure come back to this store as soon as possible, actually, I’ve been craving for days now! hmmm, maybe we can drop by when I accompany my father when he go and check for his social security benefits in the metro next week! ;)

hardware biz

A friend of mine has been thinking of putting up a hardware business. I told him that this business requires many people as this business is very much manpower dependent. Also, the people who will work here should know every piece inside the store even the thrust bearings or any other type of bearings, nails or anything that is used for construction and car repairs. But I also told him that if he got the resources he need and this is what he really wants to do, then this is the right business for him.

vikings trip

We were supposed to try Vikings buffet last Sunday, unfortunately I’m still not feeling well so we had to cancel and had it re-schedule. Hopefully this coming weekend we’ll be able to come and try the phenomenal buffet feast!

Well, guess I better ready myself for the upcoming eat all you can but for now, will be checking out rv insurance that my husband asked me to search, can’t really tell what is it for, maybe he’d like to get insurance for his new atv or something.

How to Survive Your First Buffet Experience

When you think about the word buffet, you immediately picture a long line of food in every corner. Yes buffet restaurants are a favorite among friends and families who love to eat. For a fixed amount, you could have a taste of different dishes and even desserts. It is like being in a feast for a couple of hours and the options are endless.

Even if the main premise of such buffet restaurants is to enable you to eat-all-you-can there is still some dining etiquette to practice in order to have a nice experience. First thing that you should do is look around and examine the dishes available. This could help you plan your meal course in order to refrain from loading up your plate with foods that you won’t eat in the end.

Always wait for your turn when in queue and avoid rushing or pushing other people. Remember that restaurants have enough for everyone to feast one, don’t worry you’ll have a piece of your favorite meal. When it is your turn to get food, take only what you can eat. Small portions of a variety of choices are a good way to enjoy a buffet.

Observe courtesy at all times. For your next serving it is a good and clean practice to get a new plate because this is also hygienic. If you are unfamiliar about a cuisine do not hesitate to ask rather than doing a taste test and waste a serving.
